The beginning of fall and a new gourd community

For class for Tuesday, September 30...

We will be reading stories about life in the mountains and making a gourd doll as a christmas gift to keep or to give away
This will take time over several days and several lessons. A lot of the work will be done my me or my assisant and I - or anyone else I can get to help sew dresses and bows - carve shoes, paint, make hair whatver.
I am VERY excited about this opportunity. I don't think our dolls will look like the one pcitured, but I do believe that through these books and the hands on project we will be exploring, the children will get an idea of life before Mommy's and daddy's got us a baby at the grogery store, and whenever we wanted it. I think it will also teach them pride and workmanship it takes to make sure a beautiful creation.
However, hop a board, because I will need your help - and supplies. I plean to personally hand sew everything. If you are a sewer, with some simple stitching skills, man I could use you. If you can draw a good face, and braid and fix hair, carve an arm or a leg. Anything tio give these little guys some life.
If nothing else, do you have yard laying around, an extra gourd, material you are no longer using??? We need those too.
And as always - if you have questions, never hesitate to contact me. 977-66677 or TheEngs4@Yahoo.com. With your help, I really believe we can make these classes better than anything out there today, tomorrow and always! Isn't that what we want for our kids???
